Description
Cano island biological reserve is the most exciting and beautiful place on the South Pacific Coast of Costa Rica for scuba diving and snorkeling. It offers five dive sites some with rock pinnacles and arches.
During the boat ride to the island (60 min), you will be able to see a great variety of marine life, like dolphins, turtles, and humpback whales (from July to October)
The boat leaves from Sierpe at 8:00 am. From there the boat passes through the mangrove channels to reach the sea and the island, which will take approximately 45 minutes.
The guide chooses two places to snorkel from the boat and you will snorkel for about 45 minutes in each place, depending on the weather conditions.
It is also a chance to stop by the island for a short break to enjoy the beach and visit the lookout
After the snorkeling, the boat is heading to a nearby beach to serve you a picnic lunch. Later it returns to Sierpe arriving approximately at 4 in the afternoon.
